Short Bio

Denisa Constantinescu — Ph.D. student in Mechatronics at the University of Malaga and researcher in the Computer Architecture Department since 2017. She is also an Intel oneAPI Innovator. She obtained a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Malaga in 2017 and a B.Sc. in Systems Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in 2015. She was a Research Visitor at the NUCAR Laboratory (Northeastern University, Boston, USA) in 2018. Her research interests are in parallel computing, robotics, optimization, and intelligent control systems. In summer time, she's a trainer at Campus Tech Chicas.

Hobbies and interests: painting, cooking, soap making, reading, photography, electronics, yoga,..., but one rules them all, learning :)

Details: Stay at the NUCAR Lab (Northeastern University Computer Architecture Research Laboratory, Boston USA) under the supervision of Prof. David Kaeli and Prof. Taskin Padir. During this fellowship, we have worked on developing a navigation solution for autonomously driving the HSR robot in crowded spaces. A secondary goal of this stay was to find collaboration opportunities between NUCAR Lab and RIVeR Lab (Robotics and Intelligent Vehicles Research Laboratory). Stay duration: 3 months, 01/08/2018 - 31/10/2018.
