Matcha truffles

  • 200 g white chocolate
  • 6 gr matcha powder
  • 50 g butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 100 g praline mix: chopped almonds and walnuts, previously roasted with caramelized sugar
  • a bit of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes/flour
  • 1/4 cup milk powder

  1. Melt the chocolate with the butter and the milk at low heat while mixing continuously.
  2. Add everything else to the mix except for the matcha powder, praline mix, and vanilla extract. Keep mixing at low heat until everything is incorporated. The resulting paste should be easily malleable with your hands, without being too sticky. If the consistency is runny, keep it on the fire until the excess liquid evaporates. If it's too dry, add some more milk.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, the matcha powder, and about 1/4 of the praline mix (or whatever nuts you have at hand). Mix everything thoroughly, the result should look like this
  4. Roll the matcha chocolate into balls and in the remaining crushed nuts/coconut flakes/ more matcha, or whatever toppings you like.
  5. Enjoy your delicious truffles with a nice cup of tea or coffee. I suggest cold mint tea ;)
